About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide enriching field trips for underserved youth that promote civic engagement and social justice.

These day trips, guided by community leaders, artists and educators; inspire, enlighten and empower.

Our History

After visiting the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington D.C., we were deeply moved, inspired and activated to work towards racial justice, so we created www.LetsGetOntheBus.org.

While admission to this museum is free, passes are difficult to acquire and the trip down to Washington D.C. and back is prohibitively expensive for many.

Who We Are

Sonya Farrell is a Brooklyn mom, photographer, real estate professional and community activist.

Martin Brewer is an entrepreneur, small business owner and committed to promoting racial justice.
